    Priceville’s mayor and town council members will receive salary increases totaling $12,500 during the next four-year term, beginning Nov. 5, 2012.

PRICEVILLE — The Priceville Town Council on Thursday:

  • Approved three-year policy renewal with the Alabama Municipal Insurance Corp. and first-year annual premium of $67,615 at $3 million limits of liability.
  • Approved $8,900 to Shoals Electric Co. of Muscle Shoals to replace damaged power pole at Alabama 67 and Deere Road.
  • Approved $8,075 to Jones Fence Enterprises Inc. for installation of 297-foot long, 6-foot-tall vinyl fence at Veterans Park between the library and back walking track.
  • Approved $2,500 to Greenwell Construction to put asphalt on 227-foot-long, 8-foot-wide walking track in Veterans Park from the gazebo to the new playground to make track handicap accessible.
  • Approved $610 to PBS Rentals Inc. of Florence for eight portable restrooms and two hand sanitizer stands for annual Priceville Cruise-In at Veterans Park on Aug. 21.
  • Approved up to $1,500 to repair clutch on maintenance tractor.
  • Approved $826.03 annual dues to Alabama League of Municipalities.
  • Approved $1,750 to Insight/Panasonic Inc. for extended warranty for five police laptop computers ($350 each).
  • Approved $720 to Truckers Warehouse for cargo box for police vehicle.
  • Approved $125 registration and travel expenses for Sgt. Ron DeWeese to attend the 2010 Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center User’s Conference at Gulf Shores on Sept. 20-23.
  • Approved appointment of Bill Voss as supernumerary member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
  • Approved Josh Heflin as a member of the police reserves.
