  • Priceville Elementary tapped for state honor

    Priceville Elementary School has been selected by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools as a 2012 CLAS Banner School.

PRICEVILLE - The Priceville Town Council on Thursday:

  • Approved resolution accepting low bid of $29,651 from Joe Keenum Excavating & Construction Inc. of Muscle Shoals for paving section of Bethel Road on the north side of Alabama 67.
  • Approved $14,500 to Hood Contracting Inc. for curb and guttering at Bethel Road on the north side of Alabama 67.
  • Approved $650 to Ed Smith Office Machines for one-year service maintenance agreement for Panasonic copy machine at the library.
  • Approved lodging and other travel expenses for Librarian Paula Hensley to attend the Alabama Public Library Service administrators meeting July 22 in Montgomery.
  • Approved $50 registration each for Sgt. Ron DeWeese and Cpl. Rick Williams to attend an eight-hour Alabama State Association of Forensic Sciences class July 8 in Guntersville.
  • Approved $16,500 to Tennessee Valley Wholesalers for 32 poles and lights on the walking track at Veterans Park.
  • Approved $7,317 to The Perry Company for installing the poles and lights at Veterans Park.
  • Approved up to $1,800 for concrete and labor to install pad on new playground at Veterans Park.
