Priceville accident drill Saturday

From The Decatur Daily
by Ronnie Thomas

PRICEVILLE — The Priceville Volunteer Fire Department will host the staging of a drill involving a bus accident Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Priceville Elementary School.

Lt. Todd Mehl said several fire departments and agencies will participate, including medical helicopters and ambulances. He said members of the community will portray wreck victims, concerned parents and spectators.

“We’ll initiate the event by calling 911, saying that this is a drill,” Mehl said. “The Fire Department will actually get a page for a bus accident.”

Mehl said it will take about an hour to triage all of the patients. Officials from the Morgan County Emergency Management Agency will critique the drill.

“Ted’s Wrecker Service donated the bus,” he said. “After the critique, firefighters can cut up the bus for experience.”
